Claypool Ranch was established in 2003. Owners Matt and Cami Claypool strive to run a facility that promotes quality, integrity, and most importantly honesty. In this fast paced industry, Matt and Cami both feel that it is imperative to promote a fun, family oriented atmosphere for their customers. At Claypool Ranch, the primary concern is the well being of the horses and their owners.
Matt grew up showing Quarter horses and is experienced in showing events from reining to halter. His first job was working with Shawn Flarida training reining horses. He soon found his true passion was showing and training halter horses. He began working for Randy Jacobs, where he fine tuned his skills on preparing and fitting world class halter horses. In 2003, Matt decided to make his dream come true and open the doors to Claypool Ranch.
Cami began in the industry at the 4-H level and then moved on to Quarter horses. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Findlay with a degree in business & equestrian studies and went to work for Dan and Darlene Trein as an assistant. She then moved to Florida to work for Clay Farrell, at Prince Farm, before going out on her own in Tampa. In 2005, Cami joined her talent with Matt at Claypool Ranch.
Both in the show ring themselves and assisting their customers, Matt & Cami have achieved outstanding success! Winning several Congress and World Show Top Tens, multiple National High Point Titles and countless State awards. They believe that you have to enjoy the journey as much as the success.
They are both very actively involved in The Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association. Matt currently serves as the Second Vice President and Cami serves as a Director as well as the Youth Adviser. They both also enjoy Judging and giving clinics.
